Terms & Conditions

The NG MTN Brain tease Service is an Interactive skills-based SMS & Mobisite content Service exclusively for MTN subscribers. The Service is designed as a daily brain workout aimed to rewire one’s brain and keep it sharp and young. This is courtesy of Rembrandt Global Services (henceforth called the “ORGANIZER”). The Service commences from 19th January 2023.
The Service consists of an interactive Trivia and a Mobisite/portal game which incorporates leaderboard features and is charged at a daily and weekly subscription fee and will run as an ongoing Service in 365-day continuous cycles (SERVICE PERIOD).
Upon successful renewal of each day’s subscription, users are invited to complete the “challenge” of the day. By completing it, they earn points which are added to their overall points balance. Challenge of the Day can be any of the following Games:

MTN subscribers can join the service by sending the Keyword “BTW” to 7802 at N240/week and “BTD” to 7802 at N100/day (both incl. VAT) after the free day.
At the discretion of the Organizer, a micro tariff Fee of N50, N30, N20, N10 and N5 for the N100 daily subscription and N200, N150, N120, N70 for the N240 weekly subscription (incl VAT) will be applied towards the end of each day for users whose charging fails due to insufficient airtime.
Free Trial
In order to achieve the best possible recruitment, users will be offered a free trial period of One day for the first time they subscribe to the service.
Each user can have the free trial period only once, meaning that if a user unsubscribes from the service after the end of the trial period and then subscribes again to the same service, he/she will not have an additional free trial period.

The PROGRAMME is open to residents of Nigeria that are subscribers of MTN who are over 18 years old, excluding all employees, representatives and agents of the ORGANIZER, their respective parents and/or affiliated companies, and those with whom any of the foregoing are domiciled. The person that owns the SIM card or has express authorization from the SIM card’s owner to use it is considered the PARTICIPANT, regardless of the actual user of the phone.
Service & Points

Users receive the following points for the Online games Daily Challenge (Portal):

Skill Games	0-2 rounds (10 points), 3-4 rounds (20 points), 5+ rounds (30 points)

Every SUBSCRIPTION SMS successfully received from the short code 7802 is charged at N100 daily OR N240 weekly inclusive of all taxes.
In case PARTICIPANT does not have sufficient credit to receive the CONTENT SMS on a specific day, s/he will NOT enjoy ANY of the benefits for that day.
PARTICIPANTS can terminate their subscription by sending STOP BTD for the daily plan and STOP BTW for the weekly plan to the service short code 7802, free of charge.
Participants subscription can also be canceled at the sole discretion of the Organizer in the event a clear expression of non-interest in participating to the SERVICE is demonstrated by the Participant via SMS communication (e.g. the Participant is sending an MO message reporting “I do not want to participate”).

All PARTICIPANTS can get more information about the PROGRAMME by sending “INFO BT” to the PROGRAMME’s short code 7802 at no cost.
All PARTICIPANTS can retrieve their credentials for accessing the service mobisite by sending “PASSWORD BT” to the PROGRAMME’s short code 7802 at no cost.

PARTICIPANTS are not allowed to use machines that automatically send SMS messages or automate/facilitate the answer process or any other alternative of sending SMS messages, other than the mobile phone (this prohibits the use of any GSM modems attached to a computer or mobile phones attached to a computer). The ORGANIZER has the right to disqualify any PARTICIPANT under the suspicion of breaking this obligation.

The ORGANIZER’s responsibility is strictly limited to providing the Brain tease service. The ORGANIZER cannot be held responsible for any delay or impossibility of sending, receiving and/or billing SMS messages because of a technical problem. All the SMS messages will be considered received by the ORGANIZER when they are registered in the PROGRAMME’s IT system and not when they are sent by the PARTICIPANT. All the SMS messages will be considered received by the PARTICIPANT at the moment they are sent from the PROGRAMME’s IT system. PARTICIPANTS recognize and accept that the journal of the informatics system of the PROGRAMME’s IT System is the proof of the date, hour, minute and second of their receiving/sending each SMS message.

In accordance with local laws and regulations, the ORGANIZER respects the privacy of PARTICIPANTS of this PROGRAMME, by which it is committed to the use of technology in a transparent form and in strict observance of the rights, freedom and guarantees of the citizens and by the reservation of the intimacy of their private and family life. The personal data collected within the scope of this PROGRAMME will be treated as private and confidential. It shall not be disclosed to other individuals or organizations, except in the event of legislation to the contrary or where such is authorized by the PARTICIPANTS themselves. The data will be stored on servers with access controlled on a need-to-know basis and limited by passwords.

This PROGRAMME is organized under and governed by the laws and statutes of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
These Terms & Conditions are valid during the PROGRAMME PERIOD until amended or suspended by the ORGANIZER.
